In September 1996 New Community Church started at Beech High School in Hendersonville. After seven years of worship at the high school, New Community moved into a brand new, state of the art building they called “The Hope Center” in 2003. Eventually, the church became known as The Hope Center Fellowship.
In February 2008, the church hired local church planter Aaron Allison as Lead Pastor. Aaron’s church plant called Sumner Life merged with The Hope Center Fellowship to become a new church called The Church at Indian Lake.
